NEW MEMBER — MEET FLORIEN

We’re proud to welcome a brand new member to the MARNIX and ALLY team. Meet Florien: a creative allrounder who wants to make the world a better place. She’s a self-proclaimed dreamer with exceptional barista skills and we’re very lucky to have her. Want to find out a little more about Florien? Let’s go!

Hi Florien, could you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you do at MARNIX and ALLY?

“Hi, I am Florien Ryckebosch. Nice to meet you! I'm a 29 year old girl who lives in the city of Leuven. My roots are in West-Vleteren, so you could say I’m a farmer girl who was triggered by the city life she saw in the movies. I moved to Brussels (and later on to Leuven) to study Educational Science and Journalism. I wanted to make the world a better place for everyone, but it turned out life had other plans for me. Jani Kazaltzis entered my life and turned it upside down. He turned my 'I will save the world' into a 'I will make the world more beautiful' vision. I became a producer and content creator for JaniTV. After two years, I decided to switch paths and became a Social Media expert for VRT ('Van Gils & Gasten' and 'Vandaag'). And now here I am, chasing another dream!

I came across MARNIX and ALLY during my time at JaniTV and it was love at first sight. I mean: look at the clients, the branding, the team, the showroom, the vision... I hadn’t stopped talking about the agency since, but never had the guts to apply. After gaining experience, and because I'm a dreamer, I gave it a lucky shot. Now here I am, the happy newbie. I will strengthen the team with my creative skills and with nice coffee beans… It so happens that in my spare time I’m also a barista!”

What is it about our agency that drew you in?

“I love how MARNIX and ALLY is chasing perfection in a healthy manner. The way ambition and a progressive/futurist mindset are combined with kindness and staying openminded. Add the strong team of awesome and enthusiastic lady bosses (dog Pêche included — I love dogs!) and I wouldn’t know who wouldn’t want to be a part of that team. Moreover — and this is also very important to me — the clients, and the projects MARNIX and ALLY creates for them, fill my body with joy, admiration and energy. It's triggering me to be the best version of myself and conquer the world together with M&A. So yes, this is kind of my dream job.”

Could you describe yourself in five words?

“A kind, wild, enthusiastic Little Miss Sunshine who believes there's gold on the other side of the rainbow and is willing to chase it. I’m also impatient, sensitive, picky, a little aggressive and noisy. Oops, you said five words?!”

What do you hope 2021 will have in store for you, both personally and professionally?

“A healthy, happy, free, strong, shiny and peaceful 2021, surrounded with lovely people would be awesome!”

Do you have any hidden talents you’d like to share with us?

“I'm a powerlifting girl. I love to bench, squat and deadlift with heavy weights. My dream? Gold.”
