LET'S GET PHYGITAL — A RECAP OF THE SS21 PRESS DATES

Twice a year, our agency invites members of the press to the Antwerp headquarters to keep them up to date on the latest news and upcoming collections. From November 12th until December 3rd, the Belgian press was invited, together with top stylists for a personal tour of the showroom. We discussed client-related novelties as well as editorial themes, upcoming trends and life as we’ve come to know it in 2020.

Because of the current health crisis, and because we like to evolve and adopt a futurist mindset, MARNIX and ALLY decided to alter the concept of the Press Days. We gave our guests the option of going digital or meeting us on-site. This way, we were able to accommodate everyone in the safest way possible, but also to try out a new approach that might be interesting to uphold in the coming years, even after the crisis has passed.

The digital appointments were accompanied by a virtual showroom tour, which allowed guests to get familiar with the topic at hand and form a mental picture whilst hearing the story behind the brand and/or collection. Whilst the on-site visit got guests excited about leaving the house and having face-to-face chat be it from a safe distance, the digital equivalent was met with an equally positive response. In this digital time and age, offering the possibility to join in from your home office has become quite standard and besides being the safest form of entering a meeting, it’s also ideal for those not from the neighborhood in that they’ll save a large chunk of time leading to more productive work days.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us and look forward to the next edition. We hope we’ll be able to welcome you to our headquarters again, but if not we’re sure to uphold our real connections through other media. Because who knows what that the future holds!
