M+A Design in Residency Program
Every design has a story. Every creative deserves space to tell it. Every quarter, we invite four Belgian designers or design-led brands to join us at M+A Studio as part of our Design in Residency program - a three-month journey rooted in visibility, collaboration, and community. This curated initiative is designed to spotlight creativity, offer meaningful exposure and connect design talent with like-minded brands and audiences. Why we're doing this
We believe in the power of visibility, not just as a PR agency, but as a cultural connector. Over the past decade, we've helped grow fashion, beauty, and design brands by building stories that resonate. But we’ve also seen how difficult it can be for young or independent creatives to break through the noise. The Design in Residency is our way of giving back to the creative community that inspires us every day. By offering a platform, a space, and a voice, we want to champion the next wave of Belgian design talent those with bold ideas, strong aesthetics and something to say.
LOOKING BACK
Our first wave of residents — Niels Raoul Boone, Hanne Cornette, Oscar De Roover, Bent Fierens, and Mirthe Tibos — set the tone for what this residency is all about: exploration, connection and unexpected resonance. As Oscar De Roover shared:“You can really feel how the design pieces engage in a dialogue with each other and with the space. It’s inspiring to see how others respond to the items; their reactions offer new perspectives you wouldn’t encounter in your own studio.” For Bent Fierens, the studio setting brought his work to life in new ways: “I was positively surprised by how many people shared the stools on social media after seeing them in the studio. It was great to see how well the designs worked in the industrial setting, it brought out something new in them.” These moments confirm what we hoped to create: a space where design doesn’t just live, but speaks.
